Iorveth seems to have spent his whole life waiting for the right reason to end it, but Astarion has never wanted to do anything but live. He'd begged Cazador not to let him die, and he hadn't cared about the consequences. Although he likes to think he'd rather die than be a slave again, if push came to shove, he's not sure what decision he'd make. Death seems its own kind of prison.
